Microsoft and Best Buy reducing price of Surface Pro

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 01/31/2014 05:22 PM [ comments Comments ]

Best Buy is offering the Surface Pro with 128GB of storage for just $500. It usually goes for $900. Now is the time to buy—before that version of Microsoft’s tablet is gone forever.

Microsoft appears to be clearing out old inventory in the new year, encouraging buyers to jump up to the new, Intel “Haswell”-powered Surface Pro 2 models.

While Best Buy doesn’t note the Surface Pro deal as a limited-time offer, there’s no indication that these prices will be around forever. In fact, there’s not necessarily a reason to believe that the Surface Pro will be around in a few months, given the sales at both Microsoft and Best Buy.
