Microsoft Disables Comments on YouTube For Xbox One Videos

Posted by: Tim Tibbetts on 05/26/2013 08:03 AM [ comments Comments ]

Want to let Microsoft know your opinion on the upcoming Xbox One? Well, you can forget about doing it on one of the easiest outlets, YouTube because Microsoft has disabled comments there after overwhelmingly negative criticism.

You can see for yourself that the video has 6,700 dislikes and over 1,800 likes in total at the time of this story. We made our feelings known about the new Xbox even before they got to the lack of backward compatibility. What do you expect from a console that uses Xbox Software, a new OS with a Windows kernel and finally a bridge - but problems? Maybe they should call it Xbox 3? It sounds like a patched together product rushing for the door and Microsoft isn’t known for the most reliable operating systems over time so naturally that seems like a recipe for disaster.

We will know soon enough with release expected to be in the fall of 2013. Microsoft ignored criticism about the lack of a start menu in Windows 8 from the first beta and didn't give up on it until recently so we expect they are too far in to turn back now.
