Microsoft believes nearly all major apps that can be found in Apple's iTunes store will also be available on Windows 8 by the fall, but it expects one glaring hole to remain.
"You shouldn't expect an iTunes app on Windows 8 any time soon," said Tami Reller, chief financial officer of Microsoft's Windows division. "ITunes is in high demand. The welcome mat has been laid out. It's not for lack of trying."

This does not mean you can’t use it. You can still download and install iTunes and use it in the traditional desktop mode, something Microsoft really pushes you away from in Windows 8. CNN also says that the Surface RT will not run it at all.
Microsoft does have a built-in Music app for Windows 8 that allows users to organize their music.
