Microsoft goes after the S4 Mini in this new commercial

Microsoft is at it again taking swings at their big competition. In this video, Microsoft is comparing what they call a $750 off-contract Samsung S4 with the $149 off-contract price of the Nokia Lumia 521.

As they have done in the past, the problem here is not that they lied, but at least misrepresented themselves in this comparison. The S4 is Samsung’s latest phone while the Lumia 521 is not. A little looking online show’s that you can get the S4 for $650 but that’s still a big price difference.



Let me compare this in automotive terms. It would be like Mini Cooper explaining why the Mini is a better car than the Porsche 911 Carrera. A 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera would cost you $84,000 while a brand new 2010 Mini Cooper (if you could find one of course) would only cost you $34,000. The Mini would be a lot of fun - I have owned one - but the Porsche… Well, it’s a Porsche.
