Microsoft Makes it Easier to Upgrade; Even for Pirated Versions

Microsoft has changed the way Windows 7 and 8 users can upgrade to Windows 10. Instead of the two step process, first reserving the upgrade and then downloading when the upgrade is available to you, Microsoft is making it a one step process. Now, when you make a reservation for Windows 10, it will be immediately available to you.
Starting "early next year," Microsoft will go even further, making Windows 10 a "Recommended Update." This means that the upgrade process will start automatically for some users, depending on their settings. You will still be able to revert the upgrade as the files and programs for the earlier versions will still be available for 31 days.
Finally, Microsoft is allowing pirated versions to upgrade. These users will get a one-click way to turn their Windows version into a legitimate, Genuine version, which will then clear the way for upgrading to Windows 10. Those users will not get a free version. Microsoft will still require that the users purchase an activation code.
Microsoft is running this option as a test for users in the United States; if it turns out to be successful, the company will expand it to other regions as well.
