For those of you who can't remember passwords, Microsoft is coming to your aid.
With the new build coming this fall for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, there will be a new feature on the log in page. The age old “I forgot my password.”
With the aid of a wizard, Cortana will ask for password recovery information, including secondary email, phone number, or Microsoft Authenticator verification code. Once this process is complete, Microsoft will allow you to choose a new password.
Users have been asking for this feature for a long time and Microsoft is finally responding to the demand. The Fall Creators Update is expected to be released in September.
Microsoft is expected to kick off its final "Bug Bash" before release starting this coming Monday. It will analyze feedback and do any last minute adjustments before the release.
