Microsoft's announces Windows 8 Release Preview on track for June

Microsoft has officially announced that the Windows 8 Release Preview will be coming in June. The current preview is called Windows 8 Consumer Preview Beta.

This means that one can expect bugs and changes from this version. Since the beta was released in late February this means we are looking at about 3-4 month gap between what should be closer to a final build which. Windows 8 most likely is still on target for October at this rate.

Like many, I have played with Windows 8 and I don’t personally care for it in its current stage. This is the feedback I have received from just about everyone else I talked with as well. Microsoft might want to listen. Windows 7 did as well as it did because people loved it and the word spread. Even Apple fans had to admit it didn’t suck ;)

I expect to see some changes before the final release especially since Windows 8 should cover personal computers, tablets and Windows Phone, one of the confusing parts of the preview currently.
