Microsoft's TrueType Core Fonts consists of all TrueType fonts and a source rpm to create a binary rpm package that gives access to Microsoft's TrueType core fonts for the Web.
While these have been made available for download on Sourceforge, you need to download 11 fonts, plus all the required files for Linux individually. We've collected them all and zipped them up into one convenient package. Microsoft Word Viewer 97 is also included as with the original download.
The goal here is to save people the trouble of downloading and organizing 16 different files individually.
Microsoft's TrueType Core Fonts is perfect for anyone needing to use Microsoft fonts on a non-Windows operating system, including Linux. In rare cases, these can be used to install or reinstall, missing fonts from Windows systems.
