A Kentucky couple have been charged with charged with abandoning a minor and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. The charges come after they moved out of their home in the middle of the night leaving a 14 year old and an infant behind.
The 'parents' were able to pack up some things before hightailing it from the home; those items included a TV, an Xbox gaming system and a computer.
According to WKYT, police say there was no food in the refrigerator and no sheets on the beds. When the teenager woke up, he and the baby were able to get to their grandmother's house. The two parents were arrested in Lexington about a week later.
Melodie Massengale and Larry Gray made a quick appearance in court Wednesday morning. Both waived their preliminary hearings. They're both in the Madison County Detention Center.
