How do the figures break down with OS usage?

Windows 8.1 is still lagging behind Windows XP. Windows 8.1 has a usage share of 10.49 percent, and Windows 8 went from 3.79 percent to 3.55 percent.

Meanwhile, Windows 7 is enjoying a market share of 55.99 percent. It remains by far and away the dominant operating system.

How is XP doing? Windows XP remains impressively resilient with a market share of 19.15 percent.

It looks like most users are waiting for Microsoft to release Windows 10.
