New on MajorGeeks: 10AntiSpy

10AntiSpy was designed to provide an easy way to delete some of the Windows 10 programs that are said to spy on you, it also includes some other useful extras.

10AntiSpy can remove some elements of telemetry, disable defender and block many IP addresses of Microsoft, Cortana, etc. It warns you if Windows Restore is disabled which is good because some competing programs lack a restore feature.

It is very easy to use, although you want to look over the options before you click on “Click to Start Spy Cleaner”. You will want to go to the settings tab and select what you want to disable, including the (by default) unchecked System Restore. At this point you can go back to the first tab and “Click to Start Spy Cleaner”.

There is also a Utilities tab allowing you to open and edit your hosts file. Since the main goal of these Windows 10 anti-spying apps is to add entries to your hosts file, this is again another feature competing programs don’t often have. You can also delete OneDrive, all Metro Apps as well as a few other features.
