It happens, you stick that Windows Product Key in or on something and tuck it away in a secure place. The only problem is that place is so safe and secure you do not remember where it is. I often find key stickers stuck inside books - last one was inside Stephen King's Skeleton Crew! You don't need to worry about that problem anymore.



If you need to retrieve your Windows key to install Windows 10 (or any other reason) this simple file will do it quickly and easily for you.

I needed to retrieve my Windows key to clean install Windows 10 so I created this to share with others having the same problem.

There is no install or anything else added with Easily Retrieve Your Windows Product Key. Simply right click on key.vbs and select "open" or double click the key.vbs file. Your key will be shown and seen in the screenshot below.

If you press CTRL + C it will copy the key so you can paste it into Notepad or your favorite text editor to save for later.
