New on MajorGeeks: Soft4Boost Disk Cleaner

You have a lot of excellent choices in disk cleaning tools. Two of our all-time favorites are CCleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner.

CCleaner is pretty conservative but that can be a good thing and Wise Disk Cleaner can remove much more and that can scare some people although I have never had an issue. If you don’t like either one - or are looking for a change - then take a look at Soft4Boost Disk Cleaner.

Soft4Boost Disk Cleaner main job, as the name suggests, is to clean your hard drive of temporary files. It does as good and safe a job as anything out there and offers a lot more. I guess that should be a good thing unless you just wanted a drive cleaner. You can remove toolbars, shred files, find duplicates (never been a fan of that) and it also includes an uninstaller. It offers ads in the program but only to sell their other products, mainly the entire PC maintenance suite. Still, it’s hard to complain about that, they do have to make a living and at least you’re not being forced to opt out of other, unwanted third party programs. Odds are if you need a drive cleaner then scanning for toolbars and removing unwanted programs go hand in hand.
