New on Majorgeeks: Top News and Trending

Posted by: Tim Tibbetts on 05/20/2013 07:27 AM [ comments Comments ]

As you may know by now, Majorgeeks finally got our new backend in place after 13 years in business. It’s been working great, although there are a lot of hiccups to something this major. We finally have gotten the majority of bugs (features?) working correctly and can now move on to other features.

Something we just added Sunday was two new sidebars, to your right.

One is called "Top News" and it combines the news stories we cover along with the popular Way Off Base section to show you the top stories that everyone else is reading.

The other is called "Trending" and as the name suggests it uses Add This to show you the top pages being viewed right now. This can be a download or a news story, depending on what people are looking at.

We hope you like the new features!
