Samsung has developed the eye mouse to help people like paralyzed user Hyung-Jin Shin.

Hyung-Jin Shin wrote: “Nice to meet you all.” He did so using only his eyes.
Shin used Samsungs Eyecan+ which is an eye-tracking device developed by Samsung Electronics.
“I’m happy that eye mouse is developed in Korea,” he continued. “The eye mouse is not just an IT product, but limbs for the disabled. Hope this kind of research will continue.”
The program can help paralyzed people perform simple tasks such as typing, copying and pasting, clicking, scrolling, or zooming in and out.
After a one-time calibration process, the Eyecan+ shows a pop-up menu on the screen, which provides 18 commands that the user can choose from.
Samsung plans on making the program and its device open source.
