NUC needs bios update to install Linux

Intel believes that the future of the computer will go two ways: enormous tabletop all-in-ones and itty-bitty PCs like the company’s own diminutive Next Unit of Computing.

The NUC, which was listed as one of the top products of 2013 by PCWorld, is a bare bones device for which you need to bring your own Ram, SSD, and OS.
That last bit, the OS, proved to be a problem for folks that wanted to use a Linux system. Debian-based Linux distros failed to be recognized by the boot loader file. It just wouldn't boot unless you manually moved and renamed the Debian bootloader to what the NUC was expecting.
Not fun.
Here are instructions on how to update the NUC’s BIOS, straight from Intel. The update can be grabbed here.
