It always made good sense to be careful of what you post on any of your social media sites; you just never know who will be offended, and who is watching. Today that point is driven home.

Lawrence Mulqueen, 49, of Nanuet, is charged with threatening federal, state and local officeholders and with making the threats on an online social network.

CNY Central.com reports that the defendant, Lawrence Mulqueen of Nanuet, allegedly threatened to kill Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He's also accused of threatening the lives of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

When Mulqueen was arrested last month for harassing his landlady they found two rifles, bayonets, ammunition, body armor, a sword and a knuckle knife. His landlady tipped police off to the threats on his Facebook page, which he had listed under another name.
