NYC cops pushing iOS7

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 09/25/2013 03:42 PM [ comments Comments ]

iPhone owners are being asked by the New York Police dept. to upgrade their Iphone to ios7. The NYC cops are handing out pamphlets to Apple users. ios7 comes with beefed up security. Cops said the iOS update was "avaialble" [sic] right now. You'd think they could spell better.

Apple's updated mobile OS features an improved version of Find My iPhone, which makes it impossible for anyone to switch it off without an Apple ID and password, as well as Activation Lock, which requires an Apple ID and password to be entered before a user can perform a remote wipe or reactivate the phone.

The added security will assist in helping the cops find your stolen iPhone.
