Opera announced in their blog that they are introducing a new way to access content with the introduction of AI-generated services in its browser sidebar.
This new sidebar feature will with be powered by the now infamous ChatGPT, allow users to quickly find and summarize relevant information and applications related to their browsing activity. The AI-generated service will also take user data into account and generates a personalized list of recommended apps and content.
Opera is also providing integrations with some popular third-party services, including YouTube, Google Maps, Facebook, and Twitter, so users can more easily access them from the sidebar. By leveraging AI technology, Opera hopes to revolutionize the way people use its browser sidebars for instant access to useful information and applications. With this new feature, users can get more out of their web experience, while at the same time taking advantage of the browser’s superior security and privacy features. This is just the latest in a series of efforts by Opera to make its browsers more user-friendly, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this new service will improve people’s online experiences.
The feature is not readily available as yet however Opera did release a shot video displaying how the new 'shorten' function would work.
