So the worst idea ever has come to fruition as hacktivists associated with Anonymous are claiming to have disabled the National Security Agency’s website, and have trolled their “impressive surveillance apparatus” with “keywords of terror” as part of the attack.
The Examiner states that hacktivists associated with the international internet collective Anonymous initiated Operation Troll the NSA on June 12, in response to bombshell revelations made by Edward Snowden, a 29-year-old former federal government contract worker who revealed details of a vast secret surveillance program operated by the National Security Agency (NSA).

In addition to temporarily disabling the official NSA website, and leaking NSA employee email addresses, hacktivists associated with Anonymous claim to have trolled the NSA by sending out a large number of messages, emails and tweets containing terror-related words.
The group, earlier this week, also revealed other documents that mostly relate to PRISM and supporting operations, and mostly date from around 2008, supposedly not long after PRISM first reared its ugly head.
As of this time when I checked the site, it appears that it is back up and running normally.
I am thinking that this might be the beginning of a David Vs. Goliath style battle between the NSA and Anonymous and should prove to be very interesting, and hopefully meme filled, back and forth responses between the two.
