Out of control truck knocks down power lines, backs over car, ends up in house (VIDEO)

A tractor trailer slammed backwards into power lines, flattened a car and smashed through a home in Bountiful, UT., the driver of the truck believes that the differential blew out and because of this he was not able to get the rig back into gear.
Just after 6:45 am, the truck carrying 80,000 pounds of sand up to the Bountiful Ridge Golf Course started having some mechanical issues.
Bountiful Police Sgt. Andrew Bryson told ABC 4 Utah, "According to the driver he down shifted, wasn't able to get the truck into gear. Felt he had lost his differential and started to roll backwards."
The driver tried to apply the emergency breaks, but with that much weight there was no stopping it.
Bymaster said, "There was a paper boy parked over here and I think he probably didn't want to hit that truck with the paper boy in it and he had to hit something."
Neighbors didn't hear the crash; they heard the transformer blow when the truck took out a power pole before running over the car and hitting the house.
Doris Crowley told ABC 4 Utah, "A great big boom. My husband jumped out of bed, looked out of the window and saw nothing. Couldn't figure out what it was."
News spreads fast and when they actually saw what had happened they couldn't believe no one was hurt.
The driver of the semi was also uninjured. Bymaster says the only real loser in this case is the University of Utah student who just bought the now flattened Mazda.
"The red one,” said Bymaster. “We sold that yesterday."
