A police officer on patrol in Columbia, SC., noticed a possible illegal narcotics sale in progress at around 2 am, the officer approached the vehicle and a brief chase ensued.
According to WISTV, the vehicle did not have any headlights on and the suspect was driving erratically, so the officer attempted to stop the driver.
The driver refused to stop and continued driving erratically, when the officer eventually located the vehicle it had wrecked and was perched on the roof of a home.
"At 2:30 a.m. we heard a loud bang," homeowner Steve Taylor said. "It woke us up, we didn't know what was going on and I walked out the front door and there were two policemen in the yard and one of them informed me there was a car on our roof. And I stepped out into the yard and looked back up and there was a car on the roof and it was alarming as you can imagine."
