First off, a traffic bollard is most often a lighted sign intended for traffic-control purposes; they are most commonly associated with British roadways. That being said, the bollard is not something that one should try and wear, but I have to think that this whole ordeal started with, " hey mate, hold me pint."
The Mirror reports that it all started with a woman calling police after man 'wearing bollard' is seen walking through a shopping centre.
This joker caused quite a stir when he walked through Hemel Hempstead town centre trapped inside a traffic bollard.
A bemused shopper can be heard shouting "Is that a wind-up?" before calling the police and fire brigade, while his friend protests: "He ain't done nothing wrong, he can walk around in a cone if he wants to".
When police arrive an officer is tasked with the job of trying to free the man. He lays the prankster on the grass in order to pull him free by his legs but it seems he's firmly wedged inside.
Moments later the man eventually manages to squeeze himself out; looking disheveled and disorientated the man is cheered and clapped by the crowd.
