A man was arrested after he was spotted 'surfing' on top of a Boston commuter train after a lengthy pub-crawl with friends earlier in the day. The incident delayed the train for almost 24 minutes - Cinco de Drunko!
The un-named man was separated from his group while traveling to Worcester. According to the Boston Globe, a train engineer said he was contacted about 9:45 p.m. and told to stop the train because a man was riding on top of it. The train was traveling about 40 miles per hour between the Ashland and Southborough stations , Transit Police said.
The engineer said he brought the train to a stop, climbed to the top of the engine, and saw the man standing on a ladder attached to the front of the car wearing a sombrero and a poncho.
The 28 year old man, visibly intoxicated, claimed to be searching for his friends before he was escorted off the train. He was allowed to leave with one of his friends, but not before police warned him that a summons for trespassing would be forthcoming. ¡Ay, caramba!
