R.I.P: Philip Seymour Hoffman, 'Capote' Star, Dead at 46

Philip Seymour Hoffman, award winning actor and director was found dead in his NYC apartment today of an apparent drug overdose. Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 2005 biographical film Capote, and received three Academy Award nominations as Best Supporting Actor.
He was also seen in; Scent of a Woman (1992), Twister (1996), Boogie Nights (1997), The Big Lebowski (1998), Patch Adams (1998), Magnolia (1999), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Almost Famous (2000), 25th Hour (2002), Punch-Drunk Love (2002) and Cold Mountain (2003).
The Wall Street Journal reports, the New York Police Department is investigating the death, at this point the exact cause remains unknown until the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner completes the autopsy and toxicology exams.
It has been reported that the actor was found dead by a screenwriter at approximately 11:15 a.m. who then called 911.
Hoffman has struggled with substance abuse for years, and most recently the actor checked himself in to rehab after relapsing in 2012.
Sad news, I truly liked this actor...
