As any tech knows, there’s nothing more entertaining than being asked a question, then being told that wasn’t the answer. Luckily, this awesome advice came for free; in person I would have doubled or tripled my hourly rate until the customer gave up. Yes, I have done this. True story. A Saturn dealership 15 years ago kept calling me in for things as small as how to get images from a camera to a PC. I started at a reasonable $30 an hour and ended up at $120 an hour before I eventually gave up and dropped them. Not bad money 15 years ago
