RemindMe Provides Audio, Visual Event Reminders

RemindMe is a simple reminder app that resides in the tray and will remind you of any scheduled events with a popup and optional sound.

RemindMe uses a very minimal black, white and gray interface that is easy to read. There are no options to change the colors.

You will start out with the main window where you can add, remove, edit and disable or enable your events. These are self-explanatory once you create your first event. You can access these settings with the buttons at the bottom or by right-clicking any event. After you have added your first event, the option to export selected reminders will appear.

Adding a reminder is simple. Put in the Title, Popup Sound (optional), Date, Time, Repeat, and any Note you might need. It might be worth taking a minute to look a little closer at some of the settings. Popup sound allows you to choose any sound you like, assuming it's on your computer. Adding a few sounds to the program might be a nice touch. Repeat has the option to choose Daily, Work days, Weekdays, Monthly, Custom, and Set date(s). Should you make a mistake, for example, trying to make an appointment for yesterday, warnings do appear.

RemindMe lacks that polished, professional look, but don't let that stop you. It is well thought out, open source and easy to use.
