Russian Hacker Arrested in Prague

A U.S. federal grand jury in Oakland, Calif., indicted Yevgeniy Aleksandrovich Nikulin of Moscow. He is accused of hacking three computers in Silicon Valley- social networking sites LinkedIn and Formspring and file-sharing company Dropbox.
He managed to successfully breach a LinkedIn employees credential by using a phishing scam. He put code on the worker's computer, stole the employee's username and password and used those credentials to access the company's IT system in 2012.
The breach is thought to have compromised the usernames and passwords of every user.
The indictment also alleges that he hacked DropBox and, with the help of an unnamed co-conspirator, tried to sell the usernames, passwords and email addresses.
The FBI tipped off Interpol as to his where abouts, Czech police found him on vacation with his girlfriend at a Prague hotel.
Nikulin faces more than 30 years in prison and $1 million in fines.
