Russian MP wants to ban Tim Cook

After Tim Cook came out with the disclosure that he is gay, the reaction has been mostly positive.

The exception is Vitaly Milonov, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, and notable homophobe. He said on Thursday that he wants a lifetime prohibition on Cooks entrance into Russia.

Milonov said: "What could be bring us? The Ebola virus, AIDS, gonorrhea? They all have unseemly ties over there. Ban him for life."

Cook made the announcement to bring comfort to others who are struggling or feel alone, and to "inspire people to insist on their equality."

To highlight its opposition of Western democracy, the Russian government uses LGBR rights as a wedge. Local officials though, often carry iPhones and iPads, though the St. Petersburg MP condemned the iPhone 6 as too vulnerable to U.S. spying.
