A man suffered minor injuries, some self inflicted, after crashing his RV into the Timber Tavern in Boring, OR. Police indicate that the man crashed into the structure on purpose and will undergo a mental health evaluation.
The Albany Tribune reports that on August 24, at approximately 2:00 am, deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a motorhome that had crashed into the Timber Tavern located at 28052 SE Highway 212 in Boring, OR. The business had just closed for the night and only a small number of persons were still on scene at the establishment when this crash happened.
Boring Fire and Rescue responded to the scene along with officers from the Sandy Police Department to assist.
When deputies arrived they spoke with the driver who was out of the vehicle and walking around. The driver did not appear to be injured from the crash, but had several self-inflicted wounds on his arms.
Upon further investigation deputies determined the driver of the vehicle had crashed the motorhome intentionally. Fortunately no one was hurt during this incident.
