Samsung Galaxy S IV will track eyes to scroll pages

With the Samsung Galaxy S3 finally becoming the first true iPhone killer we now have word about the next Smartphone and what it might have. Normally you would wait for the iPhone to come up with new and cutting edge ideas but at this rate it might be Apple needing to copy Samsung.

The New York Times reports that a person who has tried the phone, called the Galaxy S IV, described one feature as particularly new and exciting: Eye scrolling.

The phone will track a user’s eyes to determine where to scroll, said a Samsung employee who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the news media.

Samsung has filed for a trademark in Europe for the “Eye Scroll” and “Samsung Eye Scroll” in the United States describing it as sensing eye movements and scrolling displays.

They also filed for the trademark “Eye Pause” but as of right now, no one knows what that is. If I were to guess it sounds like blinking to pause scrolling perhaps?

We will find out on just two weeks as March 14th is set for the launch date.
