According to sources the next generation of Nexus 10 will be indeed be manufactured by ASUS; making the move will be familiar ground for ASUS seeing as though they are already producing Google's Nexus 7 tablet.
According to the article in Geek.com, Google’s Nexus program is something of a bidding war in the planning stages. Multiple companies submit designs to Google, who then evaluates which device they want to carry the Nexus branding for the next year. These devices demonstrate Google’s vision for Android, free of carrier modifications and OEM software.
Last year Google added two new types of Nexus devices to the lineup, a 7-inch tablet and a 10-inch tablet. The first Nexus 10 was manufactured by Samsung, and offered an impressive display at an incredibly reasonable price. Much like the Nexus 7 refresh, the next iteration of the Nexus 10 will bear the same name as its predecessor, only this year it will be manufactured by Asus.

As the company responsible for both the original Nexus 7 and this year’s refresh, it’s clear that ASUS and Google have a good relationship right now. The 2013 Nexus 7 demonstrated that ASUS is more than capable of keeping up with the speed of Android by creating hardware that allows Google to keep close to their price points from last year.
The Nexus 10 refresh is expected to be available on the Google Play Store as well as Best Buy retail stores in time for the holiday season. It’s unclear exactly what hardware improvements we’ll see in this new Nexus 10 over the previous generation, but given Asus and Google’s recent work with Qualcomm it’s not hard to guess that we’ll see a Snapdragon chipset powering an impressive 2560×1600 display with dual-core Exynos 5 processor sporting 2GB of RAM.
