The Irish Times reports that Gary Davis, 27, is set to be extradited to the U.S. to face charges of conspiracy to distribute narcotics, conspiracy to commit computer hacking and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The charges stem from the accusation that Davis was an admin on the Silk Road dark website between 2011 and late 2013 that sold all sorts of illegal products such as drugs, weapons, hacking tools, databases, credit card information, and more.
Davis is not the only one indicted. Two other admins are also charged: Andrew Michael Jones, who used the nickname Inigo, and Peter Philip Nash, going as Samesamebutdifferent.
Authorities are saying that Davis and the two other admins were founder Ros Ulbricht's lieutenants and helped with the running of the site. Like Ulbricht, Davis also risks a sentence of life in prison.
Davis is expected to appeal the extradition.
