Citing too much confusion over their 8 month advertising blitz, Sprint has dumped their "Framily" plan and replaced it with a more industry-standard shared family data plan. New CEO Marcelo Claure announced that they will be pushing their new plan which consists of 20gb data, unlimited talk and text for $100 a month on up to 10 lines through 2015.
David Owens, Sprint's senior vice president of product development, said: "Marcelo said, 'I want to make it really simple for our sales associates and consumers to compare plans,' so that's exactly what we did with our family share plans. It's a very simple message for all of our sales associates: the same plan, but double the data when you go with Sprint."
Sprint now has to focus on its network. A Root Metrics report this week said that Sprint has the weakest data network in the country right now.
