An 18 year old in Sacramento, CA., was arrested after he swiped a street cleaner from a parking lot and peeled out onto the roadway; in the process he managed to smash several cars before fleeing on foot.
Fox40 reports that 18-year-old Lavonn Dill was spotted by police as he peeled out of a parking lot and onto the street.
The truck promptly ran a red light – and didn't have its headlights on – prompting the officers to try and pull the street sweeper over. However, police note, the driver pushed on and didn't stop until he had hit three parked cars. The driver then bolted from the truck.
After a short search the suspect was apprehended by a K-9 unit and taken into custody without further incident. Dill now faces charges of fleeing, possession of a stolen vehicle and hit-and-run.
