What do you do with $308,000 worth of stolen online airline tickets? You sell them on Facebook then go on a buying spree.
At least that is what a group of Indonesian teenaged hackers, who refer to themselves as the "Gangtengers Crew," did until they were caught.
The "Crew" consisted of Sultan Haikal, a 19-year-old who only got through middle school, and three others. Two were fresh out of high school and one was a college drop out.
Haikal went on a shopping spree buying a Ducati motorcycle. "I bought a Ducati and went on a shopping spree," Haikal said. "I didn't invest the money in anything."
Indonesian authorities were impressed with his hacking skills. "He is quite sophisticated and the website was also not that hard to hack," said Idam Wasiadi, an official with the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department's cybercrime unit.
