A central Texas mail carrier was arrested for allegedly delivering meth with the mail along his route. The 21 year federal employee is charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and was effectively using the cover of his job to deliver meth for years.

According to WacoTrib.com, a 10-month investigation resulted in the arrest of Edward Flores II, 39, of Lorena on Thursday. Flores worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 21 years and frequently distributed methamphetamine in his uniform while driving a Postal Service vehicle, McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said.
When deputies raided Flores’ home they seized a small amount of marijuana along with 175 grams of meth worth around $17,000.
Authorities have stated that his wife is also an employee of USPS and that the investigation is ongoing.
