Thief steals phone, takes photo of himself and gets nabbed

Posted by: Tim Tibbetts on 05/30/2013 10:37 AM [ comments Comments ]

Meet Albert Wilson, 19 from New York City. Wilson and 5 of his friends surrounded a 16 year old kid this past weekend and ordered him to empty his pockets. Wilson managed to grab the kids cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy Epic and took off with his friends.

Then, rather than wipe the phone, he took a picture of himself unaware that the victim had the phone setup to email all photos to himself.

The image allowed police to identify and nab the suspect, who got to take another photo when the police arrested him for robbery, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance believed to be crack cocaine, police added.

Nice going, Steve Urkel.
