Happy is a jail-able offence in Iran.

Hey, I've never been accused of being a great dancer - or singer for that matter. Frankly, I'm world class bad. Seriously. Yet, I've never been arrested for it. Then again, I don't live in Iran. About a month ago 6 Iranian youths decided to make a video of themselves dancing on the rooftops and balconies of Tehran to the song "Happy" by Pharrell William.
The video was uploaded to Youtube and grabbed enough attention that the local police decided to hunt the group down, arrest them, and make them recant their actions. The dancers have been set free but according to reports the director of the video is still in custody. Ok, I agree that the dude in the turquoise floral head wrap may have crossed the line, but arrested? Yowza. In my neighborhood, that would just get you a beat down.
They police have advised the youth of Iran to avoid "actors and singers" in order to stay clear of these sorts of problems.
Anyhow, here's the video that got the group busted. Give it a look. Maybe, in support, you can stand up where ever you are and dance line no ones watching!!! ... accept maybe the NSA.
