Made you look! The title may have got your attention because you know who Tracy Morgan is - or for the fact that you don't, either way, that is just what scammers attempt to do when they grab a celebrity hook and bait it with some crazy tidbit of half truth.

Tracy Morgan is a comedian - if you didn't already know and he is most certainly not dead. However, he is pretty banged up from an accident a few weeks back that did sadly take the life of 63-year-old comedian James McNair and also injured 3 others whom were traveling from a show with Morgan.

This is a perfect example of how the scammers tailor their traps to include a piece of current news in hopes of catching more people not paying close enough attention to what they're clicking.



Malwarebytes posted the original warning on this and it's nothing different than all the others that ask you to click and share the non-existent video.

In this case, you’re redirected to various offers / downloads depending on region. Here’s one example of a PUP install offered up:



Friends don't let friends fall victim to video scams! You must do your part and as always remove all traces of any scam from your Facebook page, warn your friends and report the post.
