A New Hampshire man lost control of his pickup truck and blasted up the barrier in front of a tollbooth leaving the the vehicle perched in quite an odd angle.
WMUR reports that driver Chris Desjardins said he doesn't know how his truck ended up nearly vertical on the barrier before tipping over onto a tractor-trailer. He called friends and took pictures while trapped inside the cab.
"It appears the vehicle struck the center portion of the median just in front of the toll-taker's booth, and it rose up alongside it, striking the 18-wheel vehicle as well, coming to rest on a column at the toll-taker's booth," said fire Deputy Chief Jamie Ayotte.
Desjardins, of Wells, Maine, said he was stunned but unhurt as he waited for help to arrive. Rescuers had to secure his vehicle taking him out.
"They cut the headrest out, and I just climbed out the back window and slid down the tailgate right down the bed," he said.
The crash did take its toll on the highway worker's nerves, but other than that he was OK.
