Twitch announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Curse, a company focused on creating content and products specifically for gamers. Twitch was acquired by Amazon 2 years ago.
Founded in 2006, Curse is home to some of the world’s most popular gaming websites, giving gamers the expertise and tools—wikis, news, guides, and databases—to help them take their gaming to the next level. Today, more than 30 million people visit Curse’s web properties, video channels, social media channels, and desktop application each month. We have used it for add-ons to most popular games like World Of Warcraft, which was what Curse was originally designed for.

Twitch is the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers. Each month, more than 100 million community members gather to watch and talk about video games with more than 1.7 million streamers.
The press release does not mention what was paid or what changes we can expect. The Curse client, in our opinion, could use some speed and stability improvements.
