Itay Huri and Yarden Bidani are suspected of running a DDoS service that netted them an estimated $600,000 in the last two years and has been in operation since 2012, according to the FBI.

Security blogger Brian Krebs reported that the service was for hire in the amounts of $20 and $200 per month. It is further estimated that they launched 150,000 distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on behalf of their customers.
The suspects, both 18, were taken into custody on Thursday, after Israeli police were informed of their activities by the FBI.
Krebs did an investigation of the service after someone hacked vDOS and gained access to its databases, configuration files, and real IP addresses. Coincidentally, Krebs website suffered a DDoS attack on Friday which was the day the two were bailed out of jail.
Neither suspects did a very good job of hiding their tracks. The two recently published a technical paper on DDoS attacks on the website of Israeli company Digital Whisper. Furthermore, Bidani’s personal Twitter profile lists vDOS as his website.
