U.S. Air Force Offers Extra Pay for Cyber Security Specialists

Want special duty pay? Sign up with the air force and hook a job in the cyber security field.
According to an article in the Air Force Times, U.S. Airman can earn an extra $150 per month if they have been on the job for between six months to one year or $225 per month for more than one year.
Brig. Gen. Brian Kelly, director of military force management, said: “We use this program to ensure the Air Force is attracting the right people for these high-demand specialties and appropriately compensate them based on the complexity, difficulty and degree of responsibility required of their duties."
Through the implementation of several new programs, the U.S. Department of Defense has been bolstering its cyber capabilities including utilize private sector tactics to battle cyberattacks and developing cyber troops for battlefield deployment.
