Meet Zack “Danger” Brown, a guy who I am very envious of. Zack started a Kickstarter campaign to make potato salad with a goal of 10 bucks. Well, he made it! It is currently at over $37,000 with 25 days left, over 217,000 Facebook likes and he is now adding perks. 3,456 people have donated and we predict with the viral nature that he should easily clear $50,000. In the 5 minutes it took me to write this another 15 people donated. Really!
Perks start at a buck where he will say your name while making the salad and continues by adding t-shirts, hats, recipe books and even an invitation to watch him make the potato salad. With 203 backers, he better use the money to buy or rent a really big kitchen.

If not for anything else, it’s an entertaining, if not fascinating, 1 in a million story.
I was going to donate myself but as you know, a potato salad is good but a massive pile of potato salad won’t be as tasty. He’s still my hero of the week.

Update 7\15\2014: As predicted, the project cleared $50,000 today with no end in site. What do you think? $75,000? $100,000?
