Woman accidently donates herself to charity

A woman in Oklahoma City, OK, wanted to do a charitable act by donating goods at the Positive Tomorrows collection box, she wound up giving more than she bargained for after getting trapped inside the box for hours. No good deed goes unpunished!

According to KFOR, OKC Fire Chief Brian Stanaland indicated that “We received a call from a lady that was actually stuck in a donation bin.”

The woman told the fire dispatcher that she had dropped off several bags of clothes at the Positive Tomorrows donation box on Saturday evening. When she got home, she realized she was missing a sentimental tennis bracelet that belonged to her deceased mother.

She said she searched her home and car and finally concluded it had to be in the donation box. So she went back to the box at daybreak Sunday.

“I came down here and was kind of was looking around, looking around, looking around and I got inside it,” she told the fire dispatcher. “And I have M.S. so it doesn’t take much before I start really cramping up and hurting, you know, and I can’t get out.”

During her charitable imprisonment someone actually came by to donate more goods, the unknown woman not realizing that someone was trapped was scared off after she spoke up from inside saying, "excuse me, can you help me?"

Paramedics checked out the woman at the scene but she did not need to be transported to the hospital.

Unfortunately, she did not find her bracelet.
