I have noticed with my install that if I run it from my secondary (slave) hard disk all is well, but if run from the main all programs crash upon opening, photoshop mentions that the name, serial, etc. are invalid.

Applications RUNS BETTER under Vista x64, except the Aero interface cause pallettes to move about poorly.

There is a hard to find trick to get install to work correctly.

Creative Suite installer doesn't support Vista file naming convention, however, if you install anywhere but C:\Program Files (x86)\ CS programs WILL CRASH ON LOAD.

You must instead using legacy naming scheme.

Install to C:\progra~2\Adobe\

note, ~1 directs to \Program Files\

you must use ~2 for \Program Files (x86)\

Thanks for the Legacy suggestion. It solved my installation problem. Anyone running Vista 64 bit take note and the above method will work.

Thanks for the help!

I used the C:\progra~2\adobe but it would not let me install Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 that comes with the Creative Suite 2 Premium. Any suggestions out there? All the other programs seem to work. I can now open them.

Thanks for the info. Adobe tech. support told me it couldn't be done and later versions of Creative Suite wouldn't work either.

Installing it to C:\progra~2\Adobe worked like a champ.

I tried creating a folder in the C drive using legacy naming scheme "progra~2" on Windows Vista 64Bit. But, it keeps telling me I cannot use special characters when creating this folder for my Adobe CS2 Install. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help please?
