Attempted on a Gateway 7330GZ running Vista, and no joy. It refuses to recognize the onboard speaker, but still tells me everything is fine.

The 2007/6/28 beta killed my sound in Vista completely, I had to roll back. Unfortunately the old driver only supports 2 channel stereo and not 6 speaker dolby.
