I found that the graphics on Windows XP could be improved, almost to their normal settings, by going to Display Settings: Settings: Advanced: Troubleshoot and decreasing Hardware acceleration to level 2 ("Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations."

I found that not only do robots have difficulty climbing hills, but so do any items that the robot is pushing (i.e. crates). However, once the robot or item begins moving up the hill, they have no difficulty in continuing. Robots with legs--as opposed to those with wheels--can jump onto the ramp or hill and easily continue up it.

The difficulty with going up slopes seems to maybe be related to higher CPU speeds that the game can't handle. Initially after installing, my game would be running in fast motion and the droid could not climb inclines. I then tried using Cpukiller to slow my PC down and found that slopes were no longer an obstacle. The only problem was that the game did not run so smoothly. Perhaps by experimenting with different values in Cpukiller a balance could be struck.
