CredentialsFileView Reveals Passwords, Encrypted Data Contained in Windows Credentials Files

By Timothy Tibbetts

CredentialsFileView will quickly display decrypted data and passwords stored within Windows Credentials files.

This utility is designed to decrypt the Credentials data that has been stored on your system. It can also be used for the various bits of login details and Credential data currently stored on an external hard drive.

Upon launch, CredentialsFileView will fill in all the paths required to pull the data, but you do need to have your Windows login password handy to complete the initial request. It will then provide you with a table that contains file name/version, decrypted size, entry type/name, username, and password. All this data is easily exported to text, HTML, and CSV file formats.
